Imphal, August 30 2025: District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Imphal West in collaboration with Legal Aid Clinic of Patsoi Part-III organised a 1-Day Legal Awareness Programme at BB Paul Mental Development Home, Mongsangei, yesterday on the topic, "Rights of Persons with Disabilities (RPwD) Act, 2016, and Mental Healthcare Act, 2017" .

The programme was conducted as a part of the NALSA (Legal Services to Persons with Mental Illness and Persons with Intellectual Disabilities) Scheme, 2024 .

As per a release issued by DLSA Imphal West, the programme was conducted under the supervision of Ningombam Sofiarani Devi, MJS, Secretary DLSA, Imphal West.

The programme included sessions of hygiene training, legal awareness session, counselling, as well as art and yoga performances by the students.

The programme was attended by around 80 students with disabilities and 47 staff members, and facilitated by Para Legal Volunteers of Legal Aid Clinic.
