Imphal, October 29 2025: In a massive crackdown on drug trafficking, security forces arrested three individuals and seized 11 Kg of opium in Churachandpur district yesterday.

The three arrested have been identified as Thangkhanthawng (33) of Kannan Veng, Churachandpur district; Limminthang alias L Khongsai (34) of Moreh Ward No 9 (at present staying at Tuibong, Churachandpur); and Thangjlet alias Letneu (31) of K Nivangphai, Churachandpur district.

They were arrested from the checkpost of 7 AR, Behiang under Behiang police station, Churachandpur district, said Manipur Police Control Room.

From the possession of three opium traffickers, the security forces recovered 11 Kg of opium, 2 two-wheeler vehicles, used in the trafficking of the contraband, and two mobile phones, said the police control room.
