TDCCI extends scholarship support to fashion designing students in Thoubal

Thoubal, June 29 2026: The Thoubal District Chamber of Commerce & Industry (TDCCI) has extended scholarship support to six selected students of DAYLARK Institute of Fashion Designing, the first fashion designing institute of its kind in the district, in a programme held today at the institutehall, Thoubal Okram.

The scholarship distribution programme was organised as part of TDCCI's initiative to encourage and support students pursuing fashion designing courses.

The event was attended by TDCCI president N Saratchandra, organising secretary B Surchandra Sharma, joint secretary Kh Jiban and Principal of DAYLARK Institute of Fashion Designing, Yumnam Diana, as presidium members.

Speaking on the occasion, TDCCI president N Saratchandra said that the scholarship was being provided to encourage students who have an interest in fashion designing and to support their career development.

He informed that as per an agreement signed between TDCCI and DAYLARK Institute earlier this year, the organisation has decided to provide scholarships to 20 students of the institute every year.

Urging the students to pursue their training with dedication and sincerity, Saratchandra assured that TDCCI would extend all possible support towards the growth of the institute and its students.
