Tamenglong administration invites nominations for Padma Awards 2027

Tamenglong, June 28 2026: The District Administration Tamenglong has appealed to citizens, institutions and civil society organisations to recommend deserving individuals from the district for the Padma Awards-2027 .

In a public notice issued by the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Tamenglong, DC Dr L Angshim Dangshawa informed that the Ministry of Home Affairs has invited nominations for the prestigious awards through the Rashtriya Puraskar Portal (https://awards.gov.in) .

The Padma Awards - Padma Vibhushan.

Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri - are conferred on individuals for distinguished and exceptional contributions in various fields including Art, Literature and Education, Sports, Medicine, Social Work, Science and Engineering, Public Affairs.

Civil Service, Trade and Industry, among others.

The District Administration urged citizens, village authorities, civil society organisations and other institutions to identify and recommend individuals whose remarkable contributions deserve national recognition.

Special emphasis has been given to recognising deserving persons from women, Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Castes, weaker sections.

Divyang persons and those whose outstanding work has remained unnoticed or received limited recognition.

The nominations must be submitted online through the Rashtriya Puraskar Portal on or before July 31, 2026 .
