Bishnupur, September 26 2026: A distribution programme of aids and assistive devices to persons with disabilities and senior citizens of Nambol Assembly Constituency was held today at Hera hall in Utlou Mayai Leikai.

A variety of aids and assistive devices including wheelchairs, walking sticks, neck belts, chairs etc were distributed to 368 persons with disabilities and senior citizens in today's programme which was held as a part of the ongoing Seva Sankalp Abhiyan.

Speaking at the programme, Thounaojam Basantakumar, former Education Minister and MLA of Nambol AC stated that the incumbent BJP Government has been working for peace and progress in Manipur and appealed to the people of the State to have faith in the Government.

It is worth noting that the distribution programme was held under the aegis of the Social Welfare Department as part of Assistance to Disabled Persons (ADIP) and Rastriya Vayoshri Yojna (RVY) schemes.

Senior Citizen and Intellectual Association Nambol president A Babu; Social Welfare Deputy Director ( Disability) L Dhaneshwar, PRO to Nambol MLA N Chingkhei and BJP Nambol Mandal president A Jiten Singh also attended as the presidium members of the programme.
