The function was held at the cultural hall of Khurai Kala Bidya Bhavan at Khurai Sajor Leikai.
JNMDA Director Pukhrambam Bilash, Khurai Kala Bidya Bhavan president RK Narjit and Sangeet Natak Akademi awardee A Tombichou attended as presidium members.
During the programme, Sangeet Natak Akademi and Yuva Puraskar awardees RK Thambalsana, L Bidapati, I Nalini and T Ronel were honoured with simple gifts.
Speaking on the occasion, RK Narjit said Khurai Kala Bidya Bhavan has been playing a major role in promoting Manipur's culture.
He said the Bhavan has been organising workshops and producing works to preserve various art forms of Manipur including Thang-Ta, Khunung Eshei and folk dances.
He said culture cannot be preserved and promoted without financial support, though artists continue to work even when facing hardship.
Encouraging those involved in culture is crucial to keeping the culture of the State alive, he added.
He said felicitating achievers in the field of culture not only honours them but also inspires the younger generation to work harder.
The newly produced Manipuri folk dance "Pungba Jagoi" was also staged by artists of Khurai Kala Bidya Bhavan as part of the function.
