Imphal, July 26 2025: Protesting against the reversion of two teachers utilized in Phoubakchao High School, aggrieved students locked up the school and staged a protest demonstration today.

According to a protesting girl student, the school had been facing a shortage of teachers.

Recently, three teachers were utilized for the school by the Education Department.

But on July 25, the Director of Education Department reversed the utilization of two out of the three teachers.

Questioning the Director's decision, she said that the Education Department is apathetic towards the needs of the students of Phoubakchao High School.

She added that the school will remain locked until the two teachers are sent back to the school.
