PIB Imphal to hold Vartalap media workshop on '12 Years of Governance'

Imphal, June 24 2026: The Press Information Bureau, Imphal will organise a one-day media workshop 'Vartalap' on Thursday at Hotel Imphal, focusing on "12 Years of Governance".

The workshop aims to brief journalists and media professionals on key policies, programmes and achievements of the Government of India over the past 12 years.

It seeks to serve as an interactive platform for exchanging ideas and fostering constructive dialogue between media and subject experts.

Major initiatives to be highlighted include Digital India, Swachh Bharat Mission, PM Jan Dhan Yojana, Ayushman Bharat, PM Gati Shakti, Make in India, Start-up India, and Atmanirbhar Bharat, alongside educational and economic reforms.

Resource persons include Prof Angom Dilip Kumar Singh of Manipur University, who will speak on NEP 2020, and CGST Imphal officials Barun Roy, and A Dhaneshwar Singh, who will discuss GST-related economic reforms.

DIPR Director T Charanjit Singh will attend as chief guest, with PIB Imphal Director Dr Engarn Pame as president.

AMWJU president Asem Bhakta and Editors Guild Manipur president Khogendra Khomdram will be guests of honour.

Around 30 media persons from the State are expected to participate.
