Financial literacy camp held at Heirok

As part of the ongoing three-month saturation campaign on Financial Inclusion Schemes at Gram Panchayat level across the State, a one-day Financial Literacy Camp cum Credit Linkage programme was conducted today at Heirok Part II Laimayum Community Hall.
The event was organised by the Manipur State Co-operative Bank (MSCB), under the initiative of Department of Financial Services of India, and was graced by Deputy Commissioner of Thoubal, Hannah Kahmei as chief guest; Manipur State Co-operative Bank Ltd president, P Ranjit as functional president; and MSCB Limited Board of Management vice president, Y Subhashchandra; MSCB Limited Deputy General Manager (Loan), A Trakeswori Devi; Manager M Rameshwor; and other members of the MSCB Board of Management as guests of honour.
During the camp, participants were educated about financial products and benefits provided by banks such as PMJDY account opening, PMJJBY, PMSBY, APY, Re-KYC, digital fraud prevention and unclaimed deposits.
Sanction letters for loans amounting to Rs 66.16 lakhs were also handed over to 143 selected farmers of eight Gram Panchayat level Co-operative Societies under the Kishan Credit Card (KCC) scheme.
