CDE on "Patient Specific Implants" conducted at RIMS

Imphal, August 23 2024: The Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Dental College, RIMS, .

Imphal, organised a Continuing Dental Education (CDE) programme on Patient Specific Implants (PSI) at the Dental College Examination Hall, RIMS, Imphal today.

The CDE programme was organised in collaboration with the Indian Dental Association (IDA), Manipur State Branch, said a release issued by RIMS.

It was attended by Prof G Sunil Kumar Sharma, Director, RIMS, Imphal; Dr B Praveen Reddy, Principal, Dental College, RIMS, Imphal and Ratankumar Singh, president, IDA, Manipur State Branch as presidium members.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof G Sunil Kumar stated that CDE programmes are very essential as they are designed to offer on-going education which is intrinsic to deliver high quality dental and oral health care service.

He asserted that the CDE programme will not only update the clinical knowledge of dental graduates and practitioners but also improve treatment methods which will be beneficial to the patients.

Dr Kiran Kumar Boyina, Associate Professor of All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Bhubaneswar also elaborated on the advantages of Patient Specific Implants.

The programme was attended by Dr Deepak N Singh, hony secretary, IDA Manipur State Branch, doctors, staff and students of Dental College, RIMS, Imphal.
