Monsoon credit outreach programme held at Thoubal

Thoubal, July 23 2025: A monsoon credit outreach programme was organised in Thoubal with the objective of spreading awareness about various credit schemes and services offered by banks, especially for farmers.

The outreach programme held at the Election Counting Hall in Thoubal Complex was organised by the Regional Bank Office, SBI Imphal West, Manipur.

It was attended by Khumukcham Okendro Singh, Regional Manager, SBI, RBO Imphal West; Chief Manager (Credit and NPA Management) W Daniel; Chongtham Chanchan, Chief manager Microfinance and SHGs, Local Head Office, Guwahati; Peter Khrasi, Chief Manager SBI Thoubal and Dr Meitram Uttam Luwang, LDM as presidium members.

During the event, speakers highlighted the various schemes and benefits offered by the banks and Central Government for the farmers.

As part of the event, 69 farmers under Thoubal Centre were handed sanction letters for agriculture loans of Rs 2.58 crore by the SBI, while another 100 farmers were given the opportunity to apply for new loans during the event.
