CM Biren reviews infra, developmental projects

Chief minister N Biren conducted a series of high-level meetings on Thursday, focusing on the state's infrastructure, public works, youth affairs, and the welfare of minority communities.
The discussions, held at his secretariat office, were aimed at assessing the progress of various projects and ensuring the effective implementation of development initiatives across the state.
In a meeting with the members of infrastructure from the Railway Board, CM Biren emphasised the importance of completing ongoing railway projects in Manipur With the highest standards of safety and quality.
He highlighted that the successful execution of these projects would significantly contribute to the state's economic growth and improve the quality of life for its residents.
Earlier in the day, the CM chaired a review meeting with the Public Works Department (PWD) officials.
The discussion centred on evaluating the status of various infrastructure projects across the state and reviewing measures to ensure the smooth functioning of the department.
The CM underscored the need for last-mile delivery of development works, which is crucial for the state's overall progress.
Biren also presided over a review meeting of the Youth Affairs and Sports (YAS) department.
During the meeting, he discussed the initiatives undertaken by the department, focusing on enhancing community engagement and promoting sports and youth activities.
The CM reiterated his commitment to fostering youth development and sportsmanship in the state.
In addition to these meetings, the CM chaired a general body meeting of the Manipur Other Backward Classes Economic Development Society (MOBEDS) .
The meeting assessed the implementation of developmental schemes, infrastructure projects, and welfare initiatives aimed at supporting the development and growth of minority communities, OBCs, and SCs in Manipur.
