Imphal, June 22 2026: Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla inaugurated SM Neurological Centre, a neuro hospital located at Uripok Bachaspatimayum Maning Leikai, today.

Following the inauguration, the Governor, accompanied by Home Minister Govindas Konthoujam, inspected the treatment facilities available at the hospital.

Dr Thangjam Suraj, CMD of the hospital, said that the facility will provide treatment for neurological emergencies and acute conditions such as stroke, paralysis, epilepsy, and seizures.

He added that the hospital also has a neuro rehabilitation centre and is working to operate a 24x7 free stroke van ambulance service in Imphal, along with providing services under PMJAY and CMHT .
