TOP LEADER of the militants group, People United Liberation Front (PULF), MI Khan lodging in the Manipur Central Jail after he was arrested from Mysore, Karnataka by a team of Manipur police in a joint operation has been transported at Tihaar Jail, Delhi today by a special chopper today, official said.
Md Islaodin alias Ibrahim Qazi alias MI Khan (45) of Keirao Mayai Leikai, general secretary of the PULF acting as commander-in chief of the outfit who has been detained under NSA was evacuated there (Tihaar Jail) by a three member team of the state police led by a jemandar from the Manipur Central Jail, Shajiwa, Imphal this morning, the source confirmed.
MI Khan, it may be mention that was arrested by a team of Manipur police led by SP, Impha east in a joint operation with its counterpart Karnataka police along with five other hardcore activists of the outfit from a hotel at Mysore on April 27 this year and brought to Imphal on the next day.
Others arrested PULF leaders were deputy commander in chief and finance secretary Md Naseer Khan alias Thadoi alias Keshorjit alias Boy (38) of Hiyangthang Tarahei, organising secretary and publicity secretary Md Abdul Jabbar alias Belal Khan (55) of Lilong Haoreibi, external affairs secretary and chief of army Md Nurjaman alias Deny (40) of Keirao Tera Makhong and pvt Md Nur Safi (33) of Yairipok Changamdabi and pvt Md Mustapha (22) of Keirao Makha Leikai.
They are still lodging in the Manipur Central Jail, Shajiwa following government orders regarding detention of them under the National Security Act, NSA.
