Imphal, April 18 2026:
In a proactive move to enhance domestic safety, All Gas Care Manipur State organised a series of one-day awareness-cum-training programmes today focusing on the prevention of LPG-related accidents.
The sessions were held at Itham and Nongdam Bazar in the Imphal East district.
The first session took place at the Itham Mamang Leikai Community Hall, organised in collaboration with the Itham Village Development Committee.
The second session was held at the Nongdam Bazar Community Hall, supported by the Nongdam Meira Paibi Lup and the Nongdam Youth Club.
The programmes were led by Sh Joyprakash, Manager of All Gas Care Manipur State, and Field Assistant Happy Rajen, alongside several other officials.
During the training, Sh Joyprakash emphasized that while LPG has become an essential and widely used fuel for cooking, many consumers remain unaware of the critical "dos and don'ts" of handling gas cylinders and equipment.
He noted that a lack of proper knowledge often leads to preventable fire mishaps and tragic accidents, which are reported daily across India.
To combat this, All Gas Care is conducting these widespread training sessions to educate the public on safety protocols.
Large numbers of men and women from Itham and Nongdam participated in the sessions.
The organisers stated that similar awareness programmes have already been conducted in various locations across Manipur and confirmed that this safety drive will continue in other regions in the coming days.
