TB elimination awareness programme conducted in Thoubal

Thoubal, June 16 2026: As part of the National TB Elimination Programme (NTEP), the District Health Society, Thoubal, in association with the District TB Control Unit, Thoubal, organised sensitization programmes on Tuberculosis (TB) elimination at Nongpok Sekmai Primary Health Centre and Lisamlok Baptist Church in Thoubal district.

The programmes were attended by District TB Officer, Dr Y Sameen and District Coordinator, Th Stefee, as resource persons.

As part of the programme.

Information, Education and Communication (IEC) materials carrying messages on TB prevention and control were distributed among the participants.

ASHA facilitators and local residents also attended the programmes, which aimed to enhance public awareness and community participation in the fight against tuberculosis.
