Lamlai MLA inspects ongoing water supply works

Imphal, July 15 2026: Lamlai AC MLA Kh Ibomcha today conducted an inspection tour of ongoing water supply scheme works in various parts of the constituency along with officials of the Public Health Engineering Department.

During the visit, the MLA reviewed the progress of construction at Chingnungkhok Water Supply Scheme, Tellou Water Supply, Nongren Water Supply, Oksu Water Supply and Kabongput Water Supply.

The schemes are currently under construction and are yet to be made functional.

PHED Superintending Engineer Th Jogita, EE Imphal East Salima Begam, AE Imphal East Y Meghachandra, AE Imphal East N Upendro and Junior Engineer Karangchingpu Rongmei accompanied the MLA during the inspection.

Speaking on the occasion, Kh Ibomcha stressed the need to expedite the pending construction works so that residents can get access to safe drinking water at the earliest.

He instructed officials to ensure quality work and complete the projects within the stipulated time frame for the benefit of the people of Lamlai Kendra.
