The Global Inter-Faith Pledge weekend to end child marriage campaign concluded at Ibudhou Thangjing Moirang Shanglen on Sunday.
The three-day campaign, which began from September 12, 2025, was organised by the New Life Foundation Manipur and Compassion Trust Manipur, with the aim of achieving a child-marriage-free society.

He noted that the campaign aligns with the Bal Vivah Mukt Bharat Campaign, which seeks to eliminate child marriage in India by 2030 in line with the Sustainable Development Goals.
He further informed that similar awareness and pledge campaigns will be organised in villages and academic institutions across Manipur.
As part of the campaign, numerous religious institutions across the State -including temples, churches, and mosque took the pledge to actively work towards ending child marriage and safeguarding the rights of children.
