Imphal, October 13 2026: The 1 Manipur Air Squadron NCC, Imphal, is conducting a Combined Annual Training Camp cum Water Adventure Camp for around 400 cadets of NCC Group Imphal from October 11 to 20 at Loktak Lake.

Junior Division and Senior Division cadets from all three NCC battalions across Manipur are participating in the camp which is providing them with opportunities to develop essential life skills through adventure-based training and experiential learning, said the organiser.

A major highlight of the camp is water adventure training, through which cadets are being introduced to basic sailing and other water-based activities.

The Department of Youth Affairs & Sports (YAS), Government of Manipur, has extended valuable support by providing basic sailing training and the necessary sailing equipment, enabling cadets to gain practical exposure to water sports and adventure activities, it said.

Notably, the camp also places special emphasis on disaster management, water rescue and emergency response.

A team from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) is participating in the camp and imparting specialised training through practical demonstrations, helping cadets understand essential rescue techniques and emergency response procedures.

Beyond adventure and skill development, the camp aims to instil the core values of the National Cadet Corps, including unity, discipline, leadership, courage, teamwork and a spirit of service, and also seeks to strengthen Nationalism and foster a sense of responsibility towards the Nation among the youth, said the organiser.
