Bishnupur, January 13 2025: On the objective to promote and revive Manipuri Kala Sanskriti, the 15 days workshop on Manipuri Nata Sankirtan organised by the Manipuri Literary and Cultural Forum Tripura in collaboration with Jawaharlal Nehru Manipur Dance Academy and Manipur State Kala Akademi, Imphal concludes today.

The closing of the workshop programme was attended by JN Manipur Dance Academy, vice chairman, Longjam Joychandra as chief guest, Forum president, N Bira Singha as president and secretary of Manipur State Kala Akademi, Sunanda Thokchom and Jawaharlal Nehru Dance Academy, director Bilash Pukhrambam as guests of honour.

Welcoming the gathering, Sahitya Akademi Manipuri Board member, Khoisnam Birola highlighted the importance of preserving Nata Sankirtan in Tripura.

During the event, Guru Kshetrimayum Kriti, Guru Nongmaithem Upendra and Irengbam Gourachand Singh who plays an important role as instructor during the workshop were honoured with memento and traditional shawl.

Later at the event, a poetry session on Kala Sanskriti was also held followed by a Nata Sankirtan performance.
