Imphal, October 12 2025: The Mental Health and Well Being Service Week jointly organised by Lions Club of Thoubal, Lions Club of Thoubal Greater Centurian.

Lions Club of Kakching Greater and Lions Club Kakching Sugnu across Kakching and Thoubal districts came to a close yesterday.

The aforementioned Lions Clubs fell under the jurisdiction of Lions Clubs International District 322-D Region VII, Zone XIV .

The valedictory ceremony was held at Paradise English School Thoubal Okram with a mental health awareness programme.

At the event, Senior Psychiatrist of District Hospital Thoubal Dr Khangembam Robindro spoke on "Prevention of drug use among adolescents, suicide prevention and challenging stigma" while retd Chief Medical Officer Dr Kshetrimayum Manglem Singh tackled the subject "Breaking the silence and support building" .

It is worth noting feat fee Mental Health and Well Being Service Week was kicked off at Indoor Stadium, Kakching Chumnang Leikai on October 5 wife an awareness programme on "Impact of disaster on mental health, stress and coping techniques" .

Subsequent programmes were held at Thoubal Leishangthem Khong Manung Community Hall, Kshetri Shanglen Thoubal and Integrated Rural Development and Educational Organisation (IRDEO) Wangbal on October 7, 8 and 9 respectively.
