Imphal, June 12 2026: A blessing ceremony (Yaipha Thouni Thouram) for Manipuri feature film "Lonthoktabi 2", jointly produced by Ningol Leichal Production and YAA Studio, was held today at Lainingthou Sanamahi Sanglen, Haying Khongbal Uphong Yumpham, Imphal.

Cultural activist Narendra Ningomba and senior actor Ningthouja Jaybidya attended as chief guests.

The film's story is by Pretty Irengbam, screenplay by Barun Laishram, and dialogue by Prane Yungkham.

Laishram James is the production manager, while cinematography is by Amber and Roxy.

Key roles will be portrayed by Jaljit, Jiteshori, Narendra Ningomba, Ningthouja Jaybidya, Geeta, Puneshwori, Seitya, Merry, and Alina Angom.

Ningthouja Jaybidya is the chief consultant and Amber Jeremi is the director.

Speakers at the event also discussed measures for the growth of Manipuri cinema.
