Imphal, May 12 2026: In solidarity with the struggling workers and farmers of the country, the Co-ordinating Body of Trade Union Manipur, Manipur Loumi Lup and Loumi Marup jointly organised National Demands Day at Irawat Bhawan, Imphal.

The event was attended by Salam Yaima, president, AITUC; Kshetrimayum Shanta, secretary, CITU; Yumnam Ranapratap, president, INTUC; L Sotinkumar, general secretary, AITUC and Kh Gyaneshwor, secretary, TUCC as presidium members.

Addressing the gathering, L Sotinkumar denounced the arrest of over 300 Noida factory workers in April when they protested demanding increased wages and payment for overtime work, among others.
