District re-organisation demand committee formed

Noney, April 12 2025: A committee by the name "Inter-District Boundaries Re-Organisation Demand Committee for Administrative Convenience" has been formed.

The committee was formed by a public consultative meeting at Noney on April 11, attended by representatives from Rongmei (Zeliangrong), Kharam, Aimol, Inpui and Chiru living under 51-Saitu (ST) Assembly of Kangpokpi district erstwhile Sadar Hills and 57-Henglep (ST) Assembly Constituency of Churachandpur Th Pamei, former president, RNCM; Titus Kamei, former ZYF president; Tingenlung Pamei, former AZSU president; D Adai, chairman Longmai Area Village Authority Council; Kasaigai Gangmei, chairman, Longmai Village Authority; G Agang, chairman, Merger Committee and Dimgong Rongmei, secretary Relief and Development, RBCC attended the meeting.

In a statement, released by the committee, it said it is headed by Th Pamei as convenor; Adim Malangmei, Rengenson and DN Akhup as co-convenors with Gailanchung Kamei as secretary.

It said the meeting deliberated issues regarding the administrative inconveniences being faced by the people of the region.

The public meeting entrusted and authorised the members of the committee to effect expansion and induction of more members into it and strive to achieve aspirations of the public.
