Manipur, Utkal Universities ink MoU for cultural, academic collaboration

Imphal, March 12 2026: In a significant step toward fostering cultural and academic ties, Manipur University of Culture (MUC) and Utkal University of Culture (UUC) in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today.

The pact was formalized by Prof P aonam Gunindro Singh, Vice-Chancellor of MUC, and Prof Prasan Kumar Swain, Vice-Chancellor of UUC, during a ceremony at MUC's Conference Hall in Imphal.

The MoU establishes a framework for joint projects, training programs, faculty and student exchanges, and shared access to labs and resources.

It aims to bolster research, publications, and academic growth at both institutions, creating mutual benefits for students and staff.

Speaking at the event, Prof Swain emphasized the rich cultural heritages of Manipur and Odisha.

"I am delighted to experience Manipur's unique culture, cuisine, customs, dance, and music", he said, pledging to introduce these treasures to UUC students in Odisha.

This partnership promises vibrant exchanges that will enrich cultural understanding and academic excellence between the two States.
