7th Monsang Day of Prayer observed at Chandel

Chandel, November 11 2025:
The 7th Sirti Thamna Enii (Monsang Day of Prayer 2025) was observed on Tuesday at Changnhe Village Community Hall, Chandel, under the theme "Blessed is the Nation Whose God is the Lord".
During the event, the two Blessing Ministers - Upa Th Vincent Wamong, Catechist of St Dominic Catholic Church, Liwa Khullen, and Upa Rev Sh Shrimom Monsang, vice president of the Chandel Naga Christian Forum (CNCF) - shared the word of God and led the prayers for God's blessings upon the Monsang Naga community.
Welcoming the congregation and delivering the keynote address, Upa Ng Benithan, president of Monsang Tribe Union, explained that Sirti Thamna Enii, meaning "Day of Prayer for Monsang Naga Tribe," has been observed annually since 2019 to commemorate the recognition of the Monsang Tribe as a Scheduled Tribe of India on October 29, 1956.The programme was moderated by Upa Sh Micky Victor, General Secretary of SUR.
Words of prayer were offered by Upa W Molali, Evangelist, CBC .
The event began with singing in praise of God, followed by special presentations from various women fellowships, including Liwachangning Women Fellowship, Japhou Women Fellowship, Liwa Sarei Women Fellowship, Liwa Khullen Women Fellowship, Monsang Pantha Women Fellowship, and the host village, Changnhe Women Fellowship.
During the programme, Sanuw Ts Changninglei, Pastor of Japhou Bazar Monsang Baptist Church, offered prayers, while the vote of thanks was delivered by Upa K Hringam, Deputy Speaker of SUR .
