Traffic diversions announced for Patriots' Day

Imphal, August 11 2026: The Traffic Control Police Wing, Manipur has announced traffic regulations and diversions in Imphal for the observance of Patriots' Day on August 13, 2026 .

According to a traffic advisory issued on Tuesday, the restrictions will be enforced during the function hours in the interest of public safety and for the smooth conduct of the events.

Vehicles of the Fire Service, Ambulance and other emergency services will be exempted from the restrictions.

For the morning programme to be held at Hicham Yainaa Pat, Moirangkhom, all vehicles coming from the Singjamei side along NH-2 will be diverted towards Singjamei Bridge and Pishumthong.

Vehicles coming from the Mayang Imphal side will not be allowed to enter Keishamthong.

Similarly, vehicles coming from GPO towards Singjamei will be diverted towards Sanjenthong, Nityaipat Chuthek and Keishamthong.

For the afternoon programme at Kangla and BT Park, there will be restrictions on the movement of vehicles entering the Western Gate of Kangla and BT Road during the function.

The Traffic Police has appealed to the public and commuters to cooperate with the arrangements and plan their travel accordingly to avoid inconvenience.
