SIR sensitisation programme held

Imphal, June 11 2026:
A One-Day Sensitisation Programme on the Special Intensive Revision (SIR), 2026 was held today at Maharaja Bodhchandra College, Palace Compound, organised by Manipur Innovation Society, Imphal and the college's IQAC.
Principal Dr Bhabananda Singh Takhelambam, VicePrincipal L Dwijendra Singh, and Manipur Innovation Society's Tongbram Tejkumar attended as presidium members.
Delivering the keynote, Dr N Somorendro, Coordinator, IQAC, linked SIR to democracy, citizens' rights, and electoral participation.
He stressed that every eligible voter must ensure inclusion in the voter list, calling it both a right and responsibility in a democracy.
Tejkumar outlined past SIR exercises and the 2026 process, cautioning that eligible voters missed in SIR 2026 will be barred from voting in the upcoming Assembly election.
He detailed steps to verify and enroll names.
The interactive session featured questions from faculty and students.
Dr Konsam Jenny hosted the programme, while Dr W Jibanlata proposed the vote of thanks.
Faculty, students, and members of Manipur Innovation Society took part.
