Writer's Club Nambol celebrates 31st foundation day

The Writer's Club Nambol celebrated its 31st foundation today with a grand event at the Auditorium of the Royal Academy of Law, Oinam.
The celebration, organised by the Writer's Club Nambol, witnessed the presence of eminent literary figures and dignitaries included noted poet and former convenor of Sahitya Academy Advisory Board Manipur, Nongmaithem Kirankumar Singh; president of Writer's Club Nambol, Phurailatpam Brajamunihi Devi; secretary Governing Body of the Royal Academy of Law, Oinam, Irengbam Jugeshore Singh; Associate Professor Dr Sharatchandra Longjamba; writer Achouba Yumnam; and Rajkumari Manglemsana Devi, wife of the late Toijam Bihari, after whom the award is named.
The highlight of the occasion was the presentation of the 7th Toijam Bihari Ninshing Sahitya Award, 2025, which was conferred upon renowned writer Achouba Yumnam.
The award comprises a shawl, citation and cash prize.
As part of the event, a book titled "Relief Camp 2024", written by Ngangom Rameshwore Singh, based on the story of the ethnic violence that occurred in the State on May 3, 2023, was also released.
In addition, the yearly journal of the Writer's Club Manipur, Nambol titled "Wakon" was also released during the event, and made available to the people.
