Imphal, August 09 2025: Rotary Club of Imphal (RID-3240) launched 'Rotary Egg Bank Project' for Rotary Year 2025-26 at three children homes in Imphal today.

As per a release issued by the Rotary Club of Imphal, the Rotary Egg Bank, a noble community service project of the club will benefit nearly 104 children of these three homes namely Yaibilen Children's Home, Keibi Sanapat; Poirei Nawakon Children's Home for Girls, Leimakon Women's Abode Complex, Achanbigei and Punya Home, Thangmeiband Yumnam Leikai.

The Rotary Egg Bank Project is implemented with the voluntary donations from the members of Rotary Club of Imphal.

A total of 1680 eggs will be given to the three children homes every month so that a child at the home will get four eggs per week free of cost.

It is also worth mentioning that the eggs will be procured from local poultry farmers.

The launching of the Egg Bank Project was held at the children homes in the presence of Dr Th Digel Singh, president; Sonamani Okram, secretary and Punshiba Chongtham, chairman, Rotary Egg Bank Committee; along with staff of the homes and members of Rotary Club of Imphal.
