ABVP observes National Students' Day

Imphal, July 09 2026: Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) observed National Students' Day at the Jawaharlal Nehru Manipur Dance Academy auditorium, DMU campus, Imphal today, marking the organisation's 78th Foundation Day.

The event was attended by Konthoujam AC MLA Dr Sapam Ranjan, ABVP Imphal president Dr Laishram Jimmy, national executive council member Binubala Laishram, ABVP Imphal joint secretary Maibam Govind, and Laishram Bisheshwor as presidium members.

Addressing the gathering, ABVP Imphal state secretary Gautam Philem said similar programmes were held at around 30 places across Manipur to inform students about ABVP's work, ideology and values.

He added that as part of the observance, various programmes will be conducted in different districts, colleges and schools till July 15 .

At RIMS, about 40 students also participated in a blood donation camp organised in connection with the day.
