Education tour concludes, Governor interacts with displaced students

Governor Anusuiya Uikey interacted with the Internally Displaced Students who took part in the educational tour to Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Kolkata, during the flagging-in ceremony held today at Bal Vidya Mandir, Palace Compound in Imphal East.
According to a release issued by PRO Raj Bhavan, 15 boys and 5 girl students from Bal Vidya Mandir across the State participated in the tour which was organised by 32 Assam Rifles.
The students also took part in a 5-days hands-on science workshop held at IISER.
Speaking on the occasion, Anusuiya Uikey said the event is an important step in the ongoing efforts to support and uplift the talented youth of Manipur, especially those facing the challenges of internal displacement.
"Our selected students, along with their dedicated teachers, represented the spirit of hope and determination", she added.
The Governor continued that during the workshop, students were exposed to the world of scientific quest and innovation at the USER, Kolkata.
"The workshop was not just a training tour but a gateway to future possibilities, where the students can imagine themselves as tomorrow's scientists, researchers and innovators.
This visit to the IISER, Kolkata is the first step towards achieving their dreams", she added.
Encouraging the young students, the Governor said that students should learn with enthusiasm and let this experience ignite the passion for science.
She also added that the knowledge and experience gained will be the foundation on which students will build their bright future.
Welcoming the initiative of Assam Rifles and IISER, the Governor continued that this remarkable initiative of the IISER, Kolkata will help to train the talented young students of Manipur.
"We are grateful to the IISER, Kolkata for their generous support in providing accommodation and food to 32 Battalion Assam Rifles for the purpose of this visit.
This collaborative effort demonstrates the power of unity and shared commitment to nurture the future of our nation", she added.
Further, the Governor congratulated the teachers whose efforts enabled the youth to go to Kolkata and receive training.
She congratulated Bal Vidya Mandir, Manipur which has made an invaluable contribution in the field of education in the current situation and has taken the education of children forward.
The Governor also congratulated Brig Vikram Saini, DIG, 22 Sector, Assam Rifles and Colonel Ghanendra Pratap Singh, CO, 32 Assam Rifles.
