Free medical camp held at Kamjong

Ukhrul, November 06 2025:
The 8th Assam Rifles, Kamjong, in collaboration with the Environment and Rural Development Society (EARDS), organised a one-day health camp at Happy Home, an old-age care centre in Kamjong, on Thursday.
The medical camp was specially conducted for the elderly residents of Happy Home.
Over 60 people, including children, received free medical consultations and medicines.
Refreshments were also provided to all patients during the event.
The proprietor of Happy Home, which is run by the Environment and Rural Development Society (ERDS), Kamjong, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the 8th Assam Rifles for their compassionate gesture and community service.
The camp was supported by a dedicated medical team from the Assam Rifles, along with two nurses from Kamjong District Hospital, led by the Regimental Medical Officer (RMO) .
As part of the initiative, the Commanding Officer (CO) and Second-in-Command (2IC) of the 8 Assam Rifles personally visited the camp, interacted with the elderly residents, and assured them of continued medical support and welfare activities in the future.
