ABDM Scan & Share system launched at Chandel District Hospital

In a significant step towards strengthening digital healthcare services, the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) Scan & Share Online OPD Token Generation System was launched at District Hospital, Chandel, on Thursday by Deputy Commissioner Hemant Kumar.
The initiative enables patients to generate OPD tokens by scanning a QR code, reducing waiting time and streamlining the registration process.
The launch was held during the District-Level Felicitation Programme for KAYAKALP Award Winners 2025-26-cum-launch of the ABDM Scan & Share system, organised by the District Health Society, Chandel.
Deputy Commissioner Hemant Kumar attended the function as chief guest, while Chief Medical Officer Dr Joyson Mongsang and Medical Superintendent of District Hospital, Chandel, Dr Sarchung Moyon, attended as president and guest of honour, respectively.
Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Commissioner congratulated the recipients of the KAYAKALP Awards and lauded the dedication of healthcare workers in ensuring quality healthcare services.
He said the introduction of the ABDM Scan & Share system would improve access to healthcare by simplifying the OPD registration process and significantly reducing patient waiting time.
He further noted that digital initiatives under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission are making healthcare services more efficient, transparent and patient-centric.
During the programme, the KAYAKALP Award Winners 2025-26 were felicitated with certificates of appreciation in recognition of their exemplary performance in maintaining cleanliness, infection prevention and control, and quality healthcare standards.
The function was attended by district-level officers, healthcare professionals and other officials.
