Imphal, June 06 2026:
As part of a nationwide mass protest, the Manipur State Council of the All India Youth Federation (AIYF), along with the All India Students Federation (AISF), held demonstrations across the State on Saturday with students from several schools joining the stir.
The protest was triggered by the NEET examination held on May 3, which the federations alleged was marred by a paper leak that has pushed the future of thousands of aspirants into uncertainty.
Protesters condemned what they called a failing education system that risks students' lives and careers.
Students shouted slogans such as "Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan Must Resign on Moral Ground", "Clean the System - Save Education", "Paper Leaked-Future Bleak", "CBSE: Stop Playing With Our Future", and "Hold the CBSE Board Accountable", demanding accountability for the NEET leak and urging that students' efforts not be sold for money.
The federations also pointed to irregularities in CBSE exams, including On-Screen Marking (OSM) errors and answer-sheet mismatches, calling them proof of systemic failure.
AIYF and AISF said the Union Education Minister must resign on moral grounds and announced plans for further agitations.
