PAWF Tripura elects new executive body

Imphal, April 06 2026: The Patriotic Writers' Forum (PAWF), Tripura convened its 13th annual general conference on Sunday at Hotel VIP International Auditorium, Abhoynagar, Tripura, where a 19-member executive committee for the 2016-2029 term was elected.

The conference was presided over by PAWF Manipur secretary Rakesh Naorem.

The meeting unanimously elected noted singer and writer Kshetrimayum Madhabi as president, while social and cultural activist Ningombam Pranay was chosen as secretary of the new executive body.

Other office bearers include L Sandip as vice-president; A Sarit and Takhellambam as assistant secretaries; Sany Shanna as treasurer; and Anupam Sharma as publicity secretary.

Ch Arbind, Kh Uttara and Amaran were elected as joint secretaries, while K Kaushik was appointed as office secretary.

The house also unanimously elected K Apurbita, L Sha, Kh Langlen, N Shruda, Th Aman, Kh Ranjana, M Bamani Singha, and Kh Anima as executive members.

The conference was attended by PAWF Tripura founder president Gurumayum Biplab Sharma, PAWF Manipur executive member Nabakumar Oinam, and life member Yengkhom Bhagyachandra as guests of honour, along with several eminent personalities from Tripura.
