Imphal, February 05 2025: Assam Rifles conducted a wreath laying ceremony today at Mantripukhri to honor Rifleman P P Thapa, who made the supreme sacrifice on February 5, 1960 at Jiribam district.

According to a release issued by HQ IGAR (South), over 100 personnel including Officers, Junior Commissioned Officers and Jawans paid tribute by laying wreaths.

The ceremony was a poignant reminder of the sacrifices made by the brave soldiers of Assam Rifles.

The Assam Rifles has a proud history of valour and sacrifice, and this ceremony was a tribute to the indomitable spirit of its bravehearts.

The event served as a reminder of the importance of remembering and honoring the sacrifices of the martyrs.
