NCC Group Commander visits CATC-96 at Kakching

Kakching, August 04 2026: Officiating Group Commander of NCC Group Headquarters Imphal, Col Anil Kumar, visited the ongoing NCC Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC-96) at Kha-Manipur College, Kakching, on Tuesday and interacted with around 500 cadets.

The Dy Commmandant of the 14 Manipur Bn NCC in a release said that the camp, to be conducted from August 3 to 12, aims to motivate cadets and review the various training and leadership activities being conducted at the camp.

During the visit, Col Anil Kumar was accorded a ceremonial guard of honour by NCC cadets before being briefed on the objectives, daily training schedule and achievements of the cadets.

Addressing the cadets, he lauded their discipline, enthusiasm and commitment to NCC ideals, while stressing the importance of youth participation in nation-building and encouraging them to uphold the values of unity, leadership and service.

The Group Commander also interacted with instructors and camp officials and inspected various training activities.

He appreciated the efforts of the camp in fostering leadership qualities and physical fitness among the cadets.

As part of the camp, a medical team of 46 Assam Rifles, led by Captain R Pranav, conducted health and hygiene classes for the NCC cadets "The programme concluded with the NCC Song and the National Anthem.
