Many of the trucks stranded at T Khullen are loaded with potato, onion, fish, egg and other edible items and these perishable items are at risk of being damaged if the blockade continues for some more days, he said.

"It is not right for some organisations to cause sufferings to drivers merely just to press for some demands.
Goods being brought to the state by drivers are for entire people of the state and this must be understood by the people," Anil said adding that drivers are also human beings.
On the other hand, Manipur Drivers Association (MDA) also distributed edible items like rice, lentils, cooking oil and drinking water to the stranded drivers and second drivers stranded at Sekmai area due to the ongoing economic blockade imposed by CoTU along NH-2 road.
