Army organises interactive event

Kangpokpi, July 03 2024:
Army organised a vibrant and interactive event at Keihao Army camp in Kangpokpi district under 'A Day with Company Commander'.
The event brought together 83 students of Don Bosco School, children of neighbouring villages around Keihao along with their guardians and teachers.
The day was devoted to nurturing a sense of fellowship, encouraging team spirit and raising awareness about the Army.
On the occasion, Havildar AS Daniel (Retired), a Kargil War veteran from 2nd Batallion of the Naga Regiment also attended the event and shared his experience of fighting the adversaries on the icy peaks of Kargil.
Throughout the day, students participated in an array of activities, including tug of war, football, volleyball, and musical chairs, displaying their skills and competitive spirit.
As a run up to the Kargil Vijay Diwas on July 26, 2024, the Company Commander delivered a lecture highlighting the courage and valour displayed by the Indian Army in the Kargil War.
A documentary on 'The Heroes of Kargil' was also shown to the children.
The event concluded with distribution of prizes to the students for their active participation and felicitation of the Kargil War veteran.
The Indian Army is steadfast in its mission to connect with local communities, especially the youth.
