Imphal, June 03 2026:
The Joint Administrative Council (JAC) of the All Manipur Trade Union Council (AMTUC) and the All Manipur Government Employees' Organisation (AMGEO) has urged Chief Minister Y Khemchand to fill the vacant sanctioned posts in Government departments.
In a letter to the Chief Minister, the JAC stated that approximately 49,000 sanctioned posts across various departments remain vacant.
It appealed to the Chief Minister to ensure these posts are filled on a regular basis through the Manipur State Staff Selection Committee.
The JAC, meanwhile, lauded the Cabinet's recent decision to grant a two-year age relaxation for candidates applying for Government positions.
