World Bicycle Day celebrated

Bishnupur, June 03 2024: To commemorate World Bicycle Day, Red Shield Division of the Indian Army organized a bicycle rally in Bishnupur district today on the theme 'Healthy Me, Healthy Environment' .

The bicycle rally witnessed enthusiastic participation of 65 people from all ages.

The rally was flagged off from Tronglaobi and culminated at Sendra covering around 24 kilometres, encouraging the youths to adopt cycling as a healthy habit in their daily routine and lifestyle.

The event culminated with an awareness lecture on numerous benefits of cycling, such as reducing carbon footprints, alleviating traffic congestion, bolstering one's own health etc.

The participants were suitably rewarded.

Amidst the ongoing challenges, this initiative was cherished by participants and locals alike, providing a sense of hope and positivity.
