Rousing welcome accorded to Nirupama

Kakching, August 30 2025: Sarangthem Nirupama, who was named the 4th runner-up and winner of "Miss Popular" subtitle at the Miss Universe India pageant was accorded a warm welcome by a jubilant crowd at Kakching Keithel today.

The finale of the beauty pageant organised by Glamanand Group was held at Jaipur, Rajasthan on August 18 .

Nirupama is bom to Sarangthem Rajen and Sarangthem Ongbi Mangolei from Kakching Khunou Lamhaba Leikai.

At Kakching Keithel, members of the LGBTQ+ community, the Kakching Bazar Business Welfare Association (KBBWA) and Kakching public received Nirupama with garlands and shawls.

They also wished her to be honoured with more such accolades in the future.

Earlier, a similar joyful welcome was given to the beauty queen upon her arrival at Bir Tikendrajit International Airport.

The crowd at the airport also wished her continued success.
