Bishnupur achieves 96.66% digitisation of EFs
Pherzawl records 80.95% in SIR exercise

Bishnupur district has achieved 96.66 per cent digitisation of Enumeration Forms (EFs) during the Enumeration Phase of the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of Electoral Rolls, 2026 .
According to a press note issued by the District Election Officer, Bishnupur, the Enumeration Phase commenced on May 30 and concluded on June 28 .
During the period.
234 Booth Level Officers (BLOs) conducted door-to-door visits across all six Assembly Constituencies of the district - 24-Nambol, 25-Oinam, 26-Bishnupur, 27-Moirang, 28-Thanga and 29-Kumbi.Out of 1,88,054 Enumeration Forms distributed to electors, 96.66 per cent were successfully digitised by BLOs through the official web portal and mobile application.
The remaining 3.34 per cent forms were categorised as uncollectible due to reasons including absence, shifting, death or duplication (ASDD) .
The District Election Officer informed that the list of uncollectible forms along with reasons for noninclusion will be displayed on the Notice Board of the Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) and uploaded on the official websites of the District Election Officer, Bishnupur and the Chief Electoral Officer, Manipur.
The Draft Electoral Roll will be published on July 5, 2026, and will include electors whose Enumeration Forms have been received.
The period for filing claims and objections will remain open from July 5 to August 4, 2026 .
During the Notice and Verification Phase from July 5 to September 2, 2026, the eligibility of proposed electors will be scrutinised and hearing notices will be issued wherever required.
The Final Electoral Roll will be published on September 6, 2026, after disposal of all claims and objections.
Meanwhile, the District Election Office, Pherzawl has also completed the digitisation process of Enumeration Forms following the conclusion of the SIR Enumeration Phase.
The month-long exercise involved BLOs conducting extensive house-to-house visits for distribution, collection and verification of forms across the district.
Out of 35,219 forms distributed through 78 polling stations, a total of 28,604 forms have been digitised, achieving a digitisation rate of 80.95 per cent.
The Draft Electoral Roll will be published on July 5, followed by the claims and objections period from July 5 to August 4.The verification and disposal process will continue till September 2, with the Final Electoral Roll scheduled for publication on September 6 .
The successful completion of the Enumeration Phase in both districts marks a significant step towards ensuring accuracy, inclusiveness and transparency in the electoral process.
