DC Bishnupur urges students to strive for a well-rounded personality

Bishnupur, October 28 2025: Deputy Commissioner of Bishnupur, Pooja Elangbam, called upon students to pursue a balanced approach to education by combining academics with sports and extracurricular activities.

Deputy Commissioner of Bishnupur, Pooja Elangbam, while addressing the opening ceremony of the Annual Games and Sports Meet 2025 at Loyola School, Lamlanghupi, Bishnupur as chief guest, emphasized the importance of developing a strong sense of sportsmanship.

Highlighting the importance of sportsmanship, Pooja encouraged students to always give their best, regardless of the outcome.

"Sometimes you may win or lose, but you must learn to accept both with grace and gratitude," she remarked.

Encouraging students to make the most of their school years, the DC urged them to foster the spirit of friendship, teamwork, and mutual support.

"These are moments you will never get back.

Participate in as many activities as possible and stay healthy, because without good health, you cannot study or work effectively," she noted, highlighting the link between mental health and overall well-being.

As part of the inaugural programme, Pooja Elangbam inspected the march past contingents, lit the torch, and officially declared the Annual Games and Sports Meet 2025 open.

Also present at the event were the principal of Loyola School, teachers, and parents of the students.
