AISU, ZSOM backs TYCM's ultimatum

Tamenglong, September 27 2025: The All Inpui Students' Union (AISU) and Zeme Students' Organisation Manipur (ZSOM) have endorsed the ultimatum served to the Government of Manipur by the Tribal Youth Council Manipur (TYCM) demanding the removal of paramilitary forces from the Tribal Girls' Hostel in Imphal within 15 days.

In separate statements, AISU and ZSOM said the occupation of the hostel by paramilitary personnel was a violation of the rights of tribal students pursuing their studies in Imphal.

They described the move as "total suppression" of tribal students' welfare.

Reaffirming their position, AISU and ZSOM have extended full moral and physical support to any movement in defense of the "tribal cause" .
