Imphal, March 27 2022: Director of Guru Mutum Modhu Art And Culture Academy Imphal, Mutum Upendro and member Konjengbam Basta Singh have been awarded with the prestigious Dr Ambedkar Fellowship Award 2022 (New Delhi) by the Bharatiya Dalit Sahitya Akademi.

According to a statement from Guru Mutum Modhu Art And Culture Academy Imphal, Director Mutum Upendro was conferred with the award for his work in the field of literature (art and culture) while Konjengbam Basta Singh received the award in acknowledgement of his work and expertise in herbal medicine.

A simple function was conducted at the Academy's office in keishampat Mutum Leikai wherein the two award recipients were presented with gifts.

It may be noted that the function was presided by Dr N Sharatchandra, advisor , Guru Mutum Modhu Art And Culture Academy and renowned members of the Academy also spoke on the occasion.
