THE MEETING of Deans' Committee and four former Deans of Students' Welfare of Manipur University held yesterday has unanimously acknowledged reasons for the existence of 'scepticism' in the scrutiny of MUSU election mentioned in the report submitted by the Dean of Students' Welfare, Prof Islamuddin on April 21 while giving cognizance to the whole process of the scrutiny of MUSU election, according to the meeting resolutions dispatched to the press by Deputy Registrar, K Dwijamani Singh.
The meeting also resolved to seek more detail report in this regard from the Dean of Students' Welfare and to intimate him to take up related steps in this matter.
Terming the absence of Dean of Students' Welfare, Prof Islamuddin from the meeting as 'willful avoidance of responsibility,' the meeting also deplored his absence, the dispatch stated.
The VC has also intimated the Chancellor of the University about the prevailing atmosphere in Manipur University owing to the controversial MUSU election, the missive stated.
Meanwhile, the statement also clarifies that no fax message was received through machines in the A-Block of the University neither from outside Manipur nor from within the state regarding the MUSU election till 6 PM of April 25 .
