Traffic curbs in Imphal for '10 Km Anti-Drug Awareness Run' on June 26

Imphal, June 25 2026: The Superintendent of Police, Traffic Control Police Wing, Manipur, has issued a traffic advisory for the "10 Km Mega Awareness Run" organised by Manipur Police to mark the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking on June 26.From 6 am until the event ends, the southern side of the road median from Western Gate of Kangla to Iroisemba Chingjing, including the Flyover, will be reserved for runners.

The northern side of the stretch will operate as a two-way road for all vehicles.

If needed, traffic from North AOC toward Western Gate of Kangla may be diverted at LIC Crossing towards Khuyathong.

Ambulances, fire tenders, and emergency vehicles are exempt from all restrictions.

The run will start at Western Gate of Kangla, proceed to Iroisemba Chingjing, and return via the Flyover to finish at Western Gate of Kangla.

Designated parking: participants along Johnstone School to BT Park, MPP Crossing to RK Book House, and in front of MPP Office; VVIPs along Southern Kanglapat opposite Johnstone School to Treasury Office; media and security at GM Hall, Indira Park, and Old Assembly Road.
