Imphal, February 25 2025: Huyen Lalong Manipur Thang-Ta Cultural Association celebrated Sanaroishingee Numit (Players' Day) at their office in Irilbung, Imphal East today.

This was accompanied with the showcase of Huyen Lalong Manipur Thang-Ta Cultural Association's new production "Sajel Amasung Thang Leiteng" .

The event was graced by Professor H Amujao, Principal, DSAC Irilbung and Padmashri K Sanathoiba, Director, Huyen Lalong Manipur Thang-Ta Cultural Association as the chief guest and functional president respectively.

Speaking in this connection, Gurumayum Biseshwor, secretary, Huyen Lalong Manipur Thang-Ta Cultural Association highlighted the importance of "Sajel" (exercise) in practising the artform of Thang-Ta.

Stating that "Sajel" will help players/sportspersons maintain good health, he said that it also promotes mental well-being.

Additionally, he underscored the need for the younger generations to learn more about the cultural art forms of Manipur.

This will help in facilitating the continued growth of Manipuri culture, he remarked.
